Ajour-Schal - Fertig! * Ajour shawl - Ready!

Es war sehr ruhig hier die letzte Zeit, das heißt aber nicht, dass ich untätig war - im Gegenteil! Ich habe meinen Ajour-Schal fertig gestellt, den ich im September angefangen habe *klick* :-D
Insgesamt misst das gute Stück 190 x 60 cm, aber wiegt keine 50 g.
Leider ist es gar nicht so einfach diesen Schal zu fotografieren und seine Schönheit einzufangen.

It was a bit quiet here the last time, but this does not mean that I have been idly - in contrary! I have finished my Ajour shawl , which I started in September *click* :-D
It measures 190 x 60 cm (74,8 x 24 inch) in total and hardly weighs 50 g.
Unfortunately it is not easy to capture its beauty.

Update - Work in progress - Ajour-Schal * Ajour shawl

Heute nochmal ein kleines Update in Sachen Ajour-Schal. Leider dauert es doch länger als gedacht, aber bei so einem Projekt ist natürlich Geduld gefragt... Es ist immer noch das zweite Knäuel, wirklich unglaublich, wie lange dieses Garn läuft.

Today a little update on the progress my Ajour shawl is making. Unfortunately it lasts longer than I thought, but such a project needs patience ;-) It is still the second ball of wool, incredible how long this yarn runs.

Kurzes Update: Der Schal ist gut gewachsen in der Woche Urlaub! (*hier* vorgestellt und Update *hier*)
Ich lag gemütlich auf meinem Liegestuhl und war fleißig am Nadeln. Es gab zwar einige komische Blicke und ich muss zugeben, ich habe zuvor auch noch niemanden am Swimming Pool stricken sehen ;-)

Short update: The shawl has well grown in the week of holidays. (introduced *here* and update *here*)
I lay comfortably on my deck chair by the swimming pool and knitted. There were some odd side glances, however, but who cares ;-)

Work in progress - Ajour-Schal * Ajour shawl

Ich habe bei Sandra einen traumhaften Ajour-Schal entdeckt und dieses tolle Teil ist dann spontan auf Platz 1 meiner endlos langen Projektliste gehüpft! Was mir besonders gefällt ist der Mix aus gestricktem Ajourmuster und gehäkelter Spitzenkante.
Da das mit der Häkeljacke (hier vorgestellt) auf Grund von Materialengpass (noch) nichts gegeben hat - brauche ich für den Urlaub (es geht eine Woche nach Lanzarote :-D ) noch eine Beschäftigung für meine Hände. Die Wolle ist ein Traum aus federleichtem Mohair-Seide-Mix und ich habe mich für die Farbe Nachtblau entschieden. Und da sie so gut wie nichts wiegt - kann das mit ins Gepäck :-)

Anfangs muss man sich noch konzentrieren, aber dann geht das Muster schnell ins Gedächtnis. Das habe ich gestern Abend gestrickt.

I found this marvelous Ajour shawl on Sandra's blog and it jumped spontaneously to place 1 on my endless long project list. What I like best is the mix of knitted ajour pattern and crocheted lace edge.
I haven't started the crochet cardigan from here due to material shortage and I need something to keep my hands busy in the forthcoming holidays on Lanzarote :-D. The yarn is a dream of a feather-weight mohair-silk mix and I have chosen the colour night blue.

In the beginning the pattern needs some attention but then it's easy to memorise. This is my result from yesterday evening.
