Ganz einfach selbst gemacht und durch seine Farbe auch toll zum Verschenken. Abgesehen davon: er schmeckt auch lecker, ganz leicht nach Zwiebeln.
(leider sind die Farben nicht einheitlich geworden, da muss ich wohl noch etwas üben...)
Doesn't it look fantastic? Pink vinegar? To be more precisely: Chives-Blossom-Vinegar.
An easy DIY and due to it's colour a nice gift. Apart from that it also tastes good, it has a light onion-taste.
(unfortunately I didn't manage to show the colours uniformly, I still have to try and learn...)
Einfach ein paar Schnittlauch-Blüten sammeln, das Häutchen abmachen, schütteln -falls sich irgendein Getier versteckt hat- und in ein Glas geben. Mit hellem Essig auffüllen. Dann ca. 14 Tage im Schrank stehen lassen. Danach die Blüten rausfiltern in eine schöne Flasche oder Glas umfüllen - fertig!
Just grap some chives blossoms, take of the skin, shake it -in case any bugs are hiding- and put it in a jar, fill it with white vinegar. Let it sit for a fortnight or so, in a cupboard (dark). Then filter out the blossoms and fill it in a nice bottle. That's it!
... and as the glass is reused and decorated with a packaging leftover (see here) I send this to Upcyling Tuesday

(Ich habe den Essig schon letztes Jahr gemacht, daher ich weiß die Quelle nicht mehr. Wenn man Schnittlauchblüten-Essig googelt, gibt es viele Quellen... Sorry)
