Update - Work in progress - Ajour-Schal * Ajour shawl

Heute nochmal ein kleines Update in Sachen Ajour-Schal. Leider dauert es doch länger als gedacht, aber bei so einem Projekt ist natürlich Geduld gefragt... Es ist immer noch das zweite Knäuel, wirklich unglaublich, wie lange dieses Garn läuft.

Today a little update on the progress my Ajour shawl is making. Unfortunately it lasts longer than I thought, but such a project needs patience ;-) It is still the second ball of wool, incredible how long this yarn runs.

Himmel am Freitag * Skywatch Friday

Lange habe ich schon keinen spannenden Himmel mehr gesehen bzw. schon gesehen, aber nicht fotografieren können. Diese Woche hat es aber 2x geklappt... und beide Male kam mir das Wort "Lichtblick" in den Sinn ;-) ... das ist übrigens der Blick aus meinem Bürofenster.

I didn't have the chance to get a shot of a spectacular sky recently. However, this week I was lucky two times and I had the word "bright spot" in my mind ;-) ... by the way that's the view from my office window.

Mandarinen-Duftsterne ~ Mandarin Flavour Stars

Ihr kennt dass doch sicher auch: dieser wunderbare Duft wenn man Mandarinen schält. Gerade jetzt zur Advents-/Weihnachtszeit. Aber habt ihr die Schalen auch schon dekorativ verwertet? Mithilfe eines Plätzchen-Ausstechers habe ich kleine Sterne aus den Schalen gestanzt. Diese kann man auf einem Tellerchen hinstellen, oder auf die Heizung gelegt, beduften sie auf dezente Weise den Raum. Oder man verwendet sie als Dekoelement auf einem Gesteck, oder Kranz, oder oder oder...
Was habt ihr so für Ideen was man daraus machen könnte?

You surely know the good scent of mandarins when peeling them, especially now during the Advent and Christmas season. But did you ever use the peelings for decorative purposes? With the help of a cookie cutter I cut small stars from the peelings. I decorated them on a small plate or -put on the radiator- they are an inexpensive air freshener with their pleasant fragrance. Or you can use them to decorate a flower bouquet, a floral wreath or or or...
Do you have any ideas what to do with the peelings?

Sunday Inspiration #2

Meine heutige Inspiration sind diese Häkelsterne - ich habe sie entsprechend der Jahreszeit in "metallischen" Farben gehäkelt - silber - grau - gold. Ich finde sie eignen sich für viele Dekozwecke, z. B. als Anhänger am Weihnachtsbaum oder weihnachtlichem Gesteck, Kränzen, Geschenkeanhänger, uvm.

My inspiration today are these crochet stars. I made them in "metallic" colours - silver - grey - gold, to use them especially for decorating at christmas season - on a christmas tree or a wreath, as gift tags or so...

Die Tage betrachtete ich so meinen herbstlichen Garten und dachte, was leutet denn da so weiß? Da hat sich das unbekannte Blümchen wohl gedacht, bei diesen frühlingshaften Temperaturen kann ich doch mal blühen, fast unbemerkt, wenn die weißen Blüten nicht so geleuchtet hätten ;-)

I wandered through my garden these days and watched all the fallen leaves and suddenly a white flower catched my attention! Somehow this wonderful plant flowered almost unnoticed - but the white was too bright ;-)

Die letzten Aufnahmen sind jetzt leider nicht mega-scharf und weit weg von perfekt, aber sie gefallen mir trotzdem sehr gut.
The last photos are not very sharp and far from perfect, but I like them nonetheless.

Ines von Eclectic Hamilton sammelt Sonntags Inspirationen.
Meine Inspiration heute sind diese Betonlichter, gefunden auf Pinterest *klick* und *hier* eine Anleitung dazu.
Die Tage habe ich Windlichter aus Gips gemacht *hier*, aber ich mag die Idee, diese aus Beton zu machen. Die Betonversion ist bestimmt auch besser für draußen geeignet als die aus Gips.

I made some from plaster these days *here* - but I also like the idea to make them from concrete. I think the concrete version is even better suited for decorating outdoors compared to the plaster bowls.

Ruck-Zuck Schal ~ Easy-peasy scarf {DIY}

Ich habe euch noch nicht die ganze Ausbeute vom Stoffmarkt *klick* gezeigt. Ich habe noch einen Coupon Strickstoff ergattert. Erst wusste ich nicht so genau, was ich daraus mache, aber ich fand das Muster und die Farben toll - und für 6 Euro habe ich auch nicht lange nachgedacht, also eingepackt. Zwischenzeitlich hatte ich eine Idee und einfach einen Streifen abgeschnitten, den ich jetzt als Schal trage. Die beiden unteren Enden waren schon sauber gesäumt und die Seiten flusen nicht aus. Ruck-Zuck-Fertig.
Und was ich nun aus dem Rest mache - mal sehen... ;-)

I haven't shown you the complete purchases from the fabric market *click*. I also found a coupon of a knitted fabric. I didn't know in the beginning what to make of it, but I like pattern and the colours - and on top it only cost 6 Euro - so I snatched on the offer. In the meantime I had an idea - as simple as good - and I just cut off a piece and use it as scarf. The bottom ends are seamed and the sides do not fluff - so no need to hem the edge.
What I will make from the remaining piece - we will see... ;-)
