Freutag * Friday pleasure {eBook}

Ich bin ja eigentlich kein Fan von eBooks - dafür liebe ich Bücher und den Geruch von Papier viel zu sehr. Aber für den Urlaub sind diese eBook Reader doch eine feine Sache - man braucht keine Bücher mitschleppen und reist mit leichtem Gepäck. Jetzt habe ich keinen eBook Reader aber ich habe ein Tablet, auf dem ich auch Bücher speichern und lesen kann. Also ein paar Bücher geladen und ab in den Urlaub. 

Von Lesefreude konnte aber keine Rede sein, weil das Display so dermaßen gespiegelt hat, dass ich nur mein Konterfei gesehen habe und keine Buchstaben. Okay, dachte ich, dann kommst du wohl doch nicht darum rum, einen eBook Reader zu kaufen. 

Aber mal ehrlich, die sind ja auch nicht für kleines Geld zu haben und mit denen kann man "nur" lesen. Und immer diese Stimme im Hinterkopf: du hast ein Gerät, warum noch ein zweites kaufen?

Okay, Thema zu den Akten. 

Nur wie so oft, wenn ich nicht wirklich zufrieden bin mit einer Lösung, nistet sich das in mein Unterbewusstsein ein - und dann hatte ich plötzlich eine Idee! 

Gibt es nicht für das Tablet eine Displayschutzfolie mit Anti-Reflex Eigenschaft? 

Zack, mal die bekannte Suchmaschine bemüht und : JA, sowas gibt es. Ein bisschen gesucht, Preise verglichen und für nur ca. 7 Euro (für 2 Folien) gibt es sie passend für mein Tablet Modell. Für den Preis kannste nix falsch machen - das lohnt einen Versuch!

Heute ist die Folie gekommen, sofort auf's Gerät gepackt (und sogar fast Luftbläschen frei aufgebracht) - was soll ich euch sagen? Ein voller Erfolg!! 

Das Display spiegelt nicht mehr, ist angenehm matt, fasst sich schön an und obendrein schützt die Folie auch noch vor Kratzern. 

Ich freu mich soooo! Und deswegen geht es auch damit zum Freutag bei Maika und Janet!

Und von dem gesparten Geld (so ein eBook Reader kostet ca. 120 Euro) könnte ich mir doch was Schönes kaufen - oder?!? ;-)

Ich weiß jetzt nicht ob man es auf dem Foto auch wirklich sieht (habe leider kein vorher Foto gemacht)

Well, I am not really a fan of ebooks, I must admit, I am a bit old fashioned and I really love paper books and the smell of paper. However, for holidays it is a good option - as you don't have to carry heavy books. So, I don't have an ebook reader but my tablet is a sort of reader, too. Hence I loaded a couple of books onto it and off we went into our holidays.

But I had no fun reading as the display screen was too shiny and I only saw myself in the screen and nothing else. Okay I thought, whether you like it or not, then you have to buy an ebook reader.

But honestly, these devices are not really low-budget and you can only "read" with them. And the little voice in my head murmured: you have a device, why buying a second one? Okay, let's drop the subject. 

However, when I am not really satisfied with a solution, it has settled in my subconscious and waited for its chance. And then the idea popped up!

Anti-reflective protector foil - maybe there is such thing? I searched the web and yes, there is!

I compared the prices and found a suitable one for my tablet for only 7 Euros (for 2 foils) which is worth a try!

Today the foil arrived and I immediately applied it onto the device (and I managed to do so almost free of air bubbles) - what shall I say? Striking success!!

The display no longer reflects, is pleasantly matt, has a nice haptic and on top of that, it also protects from scratching.

I'm sooo happy! And from the money I saved (an ebook reader costs about 120 Euros) I could buy something nice - right?!? ;-)

Mein heutiger Beitrag zum MakroMontag bei Britta ist nicht sehr "einfallsreich" ;)  - es gibt wieder ein Tropfenbild. Tatsächlich nur eines, denn der Zoom ist ein Ausschnitt vom Original.
Naja, und eine Erika habe ich auch vor die Linse bekommen :-)

My today's photo for the MacroMonday is not very "inventive" ;)  - again a drop. The second is a zoom detail from the first photo. Okay, and an Erica also got my attention :-)

Impressionen Lanzarote

Wie hier versprochen, wollte ich euch doch noch ein paar Urlaubsbildchen zeigen. Erwartet bitte nicht zuviel, denn wir waren wirklich sehr faul und bis auf den Ausflug nach Teguise zum Markt und den abendlichen Spaziergängen in Puerto del Carmen haben wir wirklich nichts unternommen. Nicht, weil die Insel nichts bietet, um Himmels Willen nein, sondern weil wir bereits dort waren und alles an Sehenswürdigkeiten angeschaut haben, und wir dieses Mal nur eine Woche dort waren zur reinen Erholung. Daher nur ein paar Impressionen, da ich auch zu faul zum Fotografieren war ;-)

As promised here, I wanted to show you some pictures from our holidays. However, do not expect too much, as we were really, really lazy! We only went to the Teguise Market and some evening strolls in Puerto del Carmen. Not that there is nothing to explore on Lanzarote, for heaven's sake, no, there are plenty of great sights and places to see. But we have been there before and and this time we only went for a week to relax and do nothing. Therefore only some impressions as I was also too lazy to take pictures ;-)

Wow - der September ist schon rum und die drei Wochen Urlaub sind auch wie im Flug vergangen...

Altweibersommer - Spinnennetze überall - dieses habe ich heute bei Gartenrundgang entdeckt. Zarte Seidengespinste im Kräutergarten. Mit dem Tau habe ich etwas nachgeholfen ;-)

Kurzes Update: Der Schal ist gut gewachsen in der Woche Urlaub! (*hier* vorgestellt und Update *hier*)
Ich lag gemütlich auf meinem Liegestuhl und war fleißig am Nadeln. Es gab zwar einige komische Blicke und ich muss zugeben, ich habe zuvor auch noch niemanden am Swimming Pool stricken sehen ;-)

Short update: The shawl has well grown in the week of holidays. (introduced *here* and update *here*)
I lay comfortably on my deck chair by the swimming pool and knitted. There were some odd side glances, however, but who cares ;-)

Himmel am Freitag * Skywatch Friday

Hallo - ich bin wieder zurück :-) Diese Woche Urlaub auf Lanzarote ist ja so schnell verflogen... Ich werde noch ein bisschen berichten und ein paar Fotos einstellen, heute auf die Schnelle nur ein paar Himmelsfotos. Erwartet habe ich eigentlich durchweg blauen Himmel - aber er war sehr abwechslungsreich. Das freut das Fotografenherz :-)
